Like Cricket, the Wellington boot or the Mini, T.G.Green & Co.'s Cornishware's status is a cast-iron British classic evoking both pride and passion as a symbol of great Britishness across the globe. First produced in the 1920's, the distinctive pottery owes its name to an employee who said it reminded them of the blue sky and white-crested waves of Cornwall. Adorned by millions and extremely prized by collectors, each piece if finished by hand, so their are natural variations in the color and glaze making each piece unique. Dishwasher, microwave and oven-safe, all Cornishware is presented in beautiful, distinctive and sturdy boxes and the backstamp shield is fired onto every item to ensure authenticity.

nice piece...
This Cornishware juice/water jug is a nice piece, and nice addition to my growiing collection...I now have both new and vintage pieces of Cornishware, but prefer the newer ones for using on a regular basis, like this jug. It is a good size for practical use, but also nice looking enough to have for 'show' on my Welch Cupboard, which is where most of my Cornishware collection now sits...Joanne Hudson has been very good about shipping out right away with no damage...and the quality is just right...I will be shopping on the Joanne Hudson website again for sure...

I LOVE THIS JUG
My only complaint is I wish they had more colors to choose from. Every time I use this jug I get compliments on it and people ask me where I got it, so it is definitely worth it.
