Unlike other biodegradable tableware made from bagasse (sugar cane fiber), WASARA does not become pliable or "sweat" when hot (not boiling) liquids are added. This is thanks to the combination of materials from which WASARA is made (bagasse, bamboo, and reed pulp), and the fact that it includes a trace of a water- and oil-resistant agent.
