Browsing
Click on a Basics category to the left that you wish to browse
through, and a page will appear showing you selection of products
from that category.
Searching
At anytime the search box to the left can be used to search for
products throughout the complete Joanne Hudson Basics catalog. If
for example, you are looking for ceramic products, a search on the
word 'ceramic' will show you all products with the word ceramic in
their name or description.
Product View
To see a more detailed information page for a particular product,
and a larger image, then simply click on the thumbnail image.
Ordering
Clicking the "Buy Now" button will place the product into your
"shopping cart".
Purchasing
When you are ready to purchase, click 'Checkout', which can be
accessed from the 'Shopping Cart' page which you will see when you
add a product, or which is listed at the top of every page as a
link called 'Cart' (see the top of this page), or you can use the
'Checkout' link, which is also shown at the top of each page. At
this point you will be asked to log in.
If you are a new customer, then simply choose username and password which you wish to use, and then complete the rest of the information, and click on the register button. If you are already a registered customer, then simply enter your username and password, and press the 'Login' button. Whichever you do you will be taken to the next page which confirms the content of your shopping cart, and the details of where to send the goods.
It is possible to add a secondary address for delivery at this point if you wish for the items to be sent to another address, for example if you are buying it as a gift for a friend, or wish it to be delivered to a second home etc.
When you are ready, click the 'Continue Checkout' button, the next page again confirms the details, and then asks you to choose your shipping method.
Payment
We accept Visa and MasterCard. All credit card clearing and
processing is handled by secure servers. For your security Joanne
Hudson Basics does not store credit card numbers after completion
of the transaction.
Upon completion of checkout a receipt will be emailed to you.
All payments will be cleared before any goods are dispatched.
Order Tracking
A simple order tracking facility exists for those who wish to
confirm the progress of the orders. Simply come back to the web
site, and click on the 'Your Account' link on the left. You may
need to login. In the Order Information you will see a box with any
orders placed by you listed. By selecting the order which you wish
to find out about, and then clicking the view button, you will see
the order information page displayed again. The section near the
top titled Order Status indicates the current status of the order.
It will be one of four simple codes which show what stage the order
is at, these are:
P - Pending: Your order has been received and is being processed, this will be shown until the order and payment are confirmed.
C - Confirmed: This will be shown when the details and payment have been confirmed, and prior to the goods being dispatched.
X - Cancelled: This will be shown if an order has been cancelled for some reason. This may either be as a result of a request by yourself, or because of problems with payment which could not be resolved.
S - Shipped: This indicates that the goods have been sent to the address specified in the order.
