The 8 1/2" plate is inscribed with "Kedgeree - Toast & Marmalade" in black serif.

Bridgewater Pottery is made in England in the small Victorian English town of Stoke on Trent. Each piece is hand painted, hand finished and unique. All Bridgewater Pottery is dishwasher and microwave safe and are even pretty likely to survive daily washing up in the hands of your children!

I purchased 5 more T&M 8.5in Plates 1 to replace the 1 that I broke and 4 more to add to our set. The 5 new plates are marked on the back with a tea pot and our older plates have a bridge at least the fronts are all alike.
I just don't know why I don't get any discounts or coupons from you, that would be nice. FYI Christmas is coming (hint-hint)
