We are having a formal wedding reception in a private home, and we opted to use these fallen palm leaf plates for our buffet style dinner and dessert. I ordered both sizes from another company several months ago which had absolutely TERRIBLE service all around. The dessert plates arrived after a few weeks, and they said that the dinner plates would be here in plenty of time. They kept telling me to "stop worrying". I had even told them the event date a couple weeks earlier than it truly was (mostly because my fiancé and I were going to be out of the country on our honeymoon until just 2 days before the reception...but also because I didn't trust them). Lo and behold, after I kept persistently checking on the order that they promised several times over would be here...they tell me "SORRY! It's backordered and we can't get them to you in time." After searching around, I thankfully found Joanne Hudson!! Exact same plates for a little less expensive and they were here LIGHTNING fast. You truly saved the day. They arrived safe and sound...and our wedding reception is this Saturday. I truly don't know what we would have done without you!

We had a non-profit fundraising dinner for 150 that show-cased local foods in the area. The hit at the party, in addition to the great local food, were these plates. I had multiple people come up to me after the dinner and ask for information on these plates - I pulled off all the shipping labels and sent them home with people. As a suggestion - include more literature or cards with your large shipments so that people can hand out cards and not torn off shipping labels.

we were excited to order these plates for our wedding and were disappointed that they arrived warped (i.e., they didn't sit flat)... although the texture and design was beautiful.

we called joanne hudson and the customer service exceeded my expectations. they ensured that we received a satisfactory product to use for the wedding in a timely fashion (without forcing us to jump through any hoops). although this particular product didn't work out for me, i would not hesitate to order again from joanne hudson.

Plates look unique and substantial. there is variation in shape between plates which I like because they don't look as "manufactured" as some of the bamboo plates out there. some people say they look a little warped... i say more natural.
The store has them available when other sources didn't. Shipping was fast and communicated well. I'll buy from them again next time.

my fiance & i purchased these plates for our wedding ceremony and are very pleased with their quality and uniqueness. they are made out of large leaves from india and are strong enough for our dinner.

i am more impressed with joanne hudson's store.
i ordered these plates from two different online vendors only to have learned
after much waiting from both that they didn't have them in stock and didn't know
when they would. i did an internet search and found this site and wrote them
immediately asking if they did indeed have them in stock. they promptly
wrote back that they did and shipped them the day i ordered them.
(which was a relief with the wedding coming up!)
