With it's elegant pure Japanese design, WASARA truly offers the best in biodegradable disposable tableware. Because style and caring for the earth should go hand in hand, we bring to you the WASARA line of products. Made entirely from tree-free renewable materials (think sugar cane fibers, bamboo and reed pulps which means they can stand up to heat), the line is also compostable yet sturdy and is reflective of minimalist Japanese design. This is a green fashionista entertainer’s dream finally come true.Unlike other biodegradable tableware made from bagasse (sugar cane fiber), WASARA does not become pliable or "sweat" when hot (not boiling) liquids are added. This is thanks to the combination of materials from which WASARA is made (bagasse, bamboo, and reed pulp), and the fact that it includes a trace of a water- and oil-resistant agent.
